Teaching Philosophy

I believe that the voice teacher helps a student find his or her own natural sound.  Each student will have a unique vocal journey.  Using the best pedagogy available I work with the students to find their natural voice.  A relaxed and free tone allows a vocalist to work efficiently, generating the most sound with the least effort.  A relaxed and free tone will also help the student achieve a vibrant sound that fills a room and allows the greatest range of expression.  Expression will be taught along with confidence.  A confident voice student will not only grow in their ability to perform the classical and broadway repetoire that I base my teaching on, but in any vocal endeavor they have awaiting them in the future.  A strong, confident voice will help a student sing all genres, improve performance in all public speaking and acting situations.
